چکیده

This study focused on the Upper Manyame sub-catchment which covers an area of approximately 3 786 km2 and forms part catchment, one seven catchments Zimbabwe. catchment has its source in Marondera town drains into Zambezi River downstream Kariba Dam upstream Cahora Bassa Dam, northern country. assessed potential climate change impacts streamflow reservoir inflows sub-catchment. Hydrologic simulations for future (2030s 2060s) were carried out using statistically downscaled bias-corrected variables from HadCM3 (HadCM3A2a HadCM3B2a scenarios) CanESM2 (RCP2.6 RCP8.5) global circulation models. The HEC–HMS hydrological model was set up two gauged micro-catchments eight ungauged tributary micro-catchments. Model calibration over period 2000–2010 revealed satisfactory performance 4.3% (RVE) 0.1 (bias) Mukuvisi micro-catchment 9.5% 0.15 Marimba micro-catchment. resulted a projected decrease by 7.4–26.4% HadCM3. For CanESM2, 2.5–34.7%. Reservoir Lake Chivero Manyame, main water supply sources Harare, will 10.5–18% 8–33.6% CanESM2.

Prediction of Prediction of Climate Change Impacts on Kharkeh Dam Reservoir Inflows with Using of CMIP5-RCP Scenarios

The objective of this research was to investigate the effects of climate change on precipitation and temperature parameters of Karkheh Basin and inflow to Karkheh dam reservoir. This was conducted by applying 21 GCM models under CMIP5 scenarios. The error indices of R2, RMSE and MAE models with the observed precipitation and temperature data were examined to find the appropriate GCM model, MRI-...

Climate Change Impacts on Streamflow Drought: A Case Study in Tseng-Wen Reservoir Catchment in Southern Taiwan

The study aims to assess climate change impacts on streamflow drought in a catchment upstream of Tseng-Wen Reservoir which is the main water supplier in southern Taiwan. A singular-value-decomposition statistical downscaling method and a stochastic weather generator were applied to six different general circulation models for rainfall and temperature downscaling. Two emission climate change sce...

Investigation of climate change impacts on streamflow regime of a river Arazkooseh River Basin

In this research, impacts of climate change on the streamflow hydrological status of the Arazkooseh River are discussed. After Calibration and validation of the LARS-WG, HadCM3 was downscaled under A2 Scenario in three climatology station. Beside, calibration and validation of the SWAT model were done by observed data relative to past period of times. Streamflow values are then predicted using ...
